It's Good Dog! and renowned dog authority Dr. Stanley Coren is on the case. Each episode is built around a theme such as dominance, grooming, aggression etc. Dr.Coren goes to the home of two different dog owners to help them with training challenges or to give them advice on doggy concerns. Informative, lively and sometimes funny or poignant, the viewers see these dogs in action. Dr. Coren provides general advice and demonstrates training techniques with his own dogs, Odin, his 6 year old rambunctious flat-coated retreiver, and Dancer, his two year old Nova Scotia Duck Toller. In the earlier shows,Wizard, his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is also seem regularly. (He has since passed away.) He helps the guests work with their own dogs. At the conclusion of the programs, he also provides tips and demonstrations on everything from brushing your dog to playing safely with your dog.

Dr. Coren is a professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia. He is well-respected for his knowledge of dogs. Best known for his internationally best-selling book, "The Intelligence of Dogs", his most recently released book is "How to Speak Dog". Dr. Coren is an instructor with the Vancouver Dog Obedience Training Club. He and his dogs have participated in and have also won many dog obedience trials and competitions held under the auspices of the Canadian Kennel Club. He and his dogs have also been members of numerous award-winning Precision Dog Obedience Teams.
